Bend-based Cascades East Magazine Continues Tradition

   After 29 years of publishing Cascades East, in 2005 Central Oregon's premier recreation magazine owners, Geoff and Vicki Hill, sold their publication and the related recreation maps to Cascadia Magazine Company of Bend. Cascadia is now part of Cascade Publications, Inc., which also publishes Cascade Business News, Cascade Arts & Entertainment and Cascade Discovery magazine. The company is locally owned by Pamela Hulse Andrews and Jeff Martin. Cascades East is a high-end, quarterly publication dedicated to outdoor recreation, adventure and local events as well as the history, art, people and places of the high desert.
    The magazine was completely redesigned in 2005 with a jazzy, contemporary concept in writing and photography. Distribution of the magazine has been greatly expanded so that residents and visitors see it everywhere they go. Cascades East is easily accessible, with stunning photography and sharp, engaging stories.
